John turns to see Christ in a flowing white garment with golden sash, eyes of fire, feet like burning brass, head and hairs white as snow. 

Out of his mouth was a two-edged sword.  He was in the midst of seven golden candlesticks and  in his right hand were were twelve stars. 

he tells John to write things that were, are, and are to come and gives a special message to each of the seven churches:

Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.
